Agreement
These terms govern your use of Ask From Video (askfromvideo.com, askfromvideo.in and askfromvideo.online), operated by the AskFromVideo team (“we”, “us”). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The service
Ask From Video creates transcripts, summaries, chapters and answers to your questions for YouTube videos and videos you upload.
The service is in beta. Features, limits (such as the maximum video length) and availability may change, and the service may occasionally be interrupted.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Accounts are for one person and can’t be shared or transferred.
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
Your content
You keep all rights to the videos you upload and the questions you ask. You give us permission to store, copy, process and transform that content, including sending it to our AI and transcription providers, only as needed to provide the service to you.
Only upload videos you have the right to use. Don’t upload content that infringes someone else’s rights or contains other people’s sensitive personal information without their permission.
YouTube videos
For YouTube videos we use the video’s publicly available captions and details, and play it with the YouTube player. By using YouTube features on our site, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to the player.
Ask From Video is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. The rights to YouTube videos belong to their creators; our summaries and transcripts are for your personal use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything illegal, or to upload unlawful, infringing, hateful or harassing content;
- upload malware or anything designed to harm the service or other people;
- bypass limits or security measures, or access other users’ data;
- scrape the service, use it through automated means without our permission, or overload it;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.
AI-generated results
Summaries, transcripts, translations and answers are produced automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Answers link to the moments in the video they are based on so you can check them. Results are not professional (for example legal, medical or financial) advice, and you are responsible for how you use them.
Pricing
If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price and terms before you are charged.
Our rights
The service, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk, and we may change or discontinue the service. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will be accurate, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if a third party makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will notify you before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the competent courts in India, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
